System solution for noise measurement & data transmission

A new hardware platform for sound level meters was developed on behalf of SPL Cloud GmbH. Its universal design makes it suitable for the measurement of other variables in the future.

The customer

SPL Cloud GmbH is in the business of noise measurement. The services it provides include data acquisition, data transmission and storage of measurement data. Areas of applications are to be found in all places where noise is emitted. Be it in an industrial context, in the building industry, in traffic or at large music events.

The task

Evaluation of suitable components and development of an ARM-based embedded Linux platform.

The solution

A prototype was built, so that the components could be evaluated and a circuit design as well as the PCB layout could be developed. During production, work was also carried out on a pilot series.
